Our vision of Convergence 8 in San Francisco is a
return to roots. A Convergence
that provides an opportunity for net.goths to
meet, greet, meat, and generally
cut loose and raise hell against a backdrop of
entertainment celebrating the
darker side of life in a world famous den of sin
and excess. We've kicked out
the yuppies, now its time to PARTY. Come join us
in San Francisco for a weekend,
which, if we do our jobs right, you WON'T
remember.
Yeh, ok...what you really want to know is, why
should we have Convergence in San
Francisco (again)?
Consider the following:
San Francisco has a HUGE, somewhat manic gothic
scene, hell, we're one of the
only cities that supports one, sometimes two
gothic clubs every day of the week.
If that's not a live scene, nothing is. Here its
hard to make any distinction
betwixt "goth" and "Net.goth", we are possibly
one of the single most connected
cities on earth, access is so ubiquitous that
separating the wired from the
unwired is impossible. Not to mention pointless.
San Francisco is without a doubt one of the most
freak-friendly cities in the
world. As one of our friends said "wow, it was
amazing how much of a freak I
wasn't in SF...." Looking a bit 'outre' is the
norm, and frequently expected.
San Francisco offers incredible shopping
opportunities, some of the best
restaurants and cafes in the world, and a huge
variety of bars and clubs for the
evenings entertainment.
San Francisco, and the west coast have an
incredible wealth of gothic/industrial
bands, DJs, and clubs to draw from, to make
Convergence 8 in San Francisco an
experience to remember.
Our preferred dates for Convergence 8 are June
7-9.. But we depending on
availability, cost and your feedback, we would
also consider other weekends in
late May and June. We will not consider dates in
July and August, because
frankly, the weather sucks
Come join us in San Francisco for a weekend,
which, if we do our jobs right, you
WONT remember.
