Your Comittee:
Your Convergence 8 in San Francisco committee is primarily made up of the people
who promote and run San Francisco's Gothic/industrial nightclubs. We are all
long time residents of the bay area. We have years of experience in producing
events and entertaining people. We are all "net.goths" to some degree, ranging
from past Convergence attendance, to participation in international and regional
mail lists, to hosting our own web sites (and those of others). But, we have day
jobs too. While being goth is good, and something no organizer of convergence should not be,
we feel it important to point out that we are professionals FIRST. We don't gossip, we don't
mudsling, we dont infight, we just _do_the_work_. Our experience as internet/high tech
professionals, project managers, convention organizers, promoters, and business men and women gives
us the skills and know how to successfully complete a
project of the magnitude of Convergence 8 _on_schedule_ and _under_budget_.
But, we also know our limits, so will welcome the advice and participation of
former Convergence committee members.
Finally - we want your help. The Convergence 8 San Francisco Committee
recognizes that Convergence 8 belongs to you. If we are selected by you to
produce Convergence 8, we are your committee. As such we welcome and invite you
input. We pledge to be accessible and responsive to your ideas and suggestions.
