Schenley Park

Flagstaff hill, next to CMU's campus, offers free movies during the summer starting at dusk on Wednesdays and Sundays. A local band preceds the Sunday showing. Schedule

Frick Park

Frick park has some beautiful dark trails, but it also has a playground, so watch for small children!

Point State Park

100 Commonwealth Dr.
PGH Downtown


The big attraction for Point State Park is the legendary fountain.

Allegheny Cemetery

Hrs: 11AM - 5PM


A large cemetery with great gravestones, statuary, and crypts. Will probably take several hours to see all of the grounds.
Groundspeople: No problems

St. Mary Cemetery

Lawrenceville
Hrs: 9?AM - 5PM


Small cemetery next door to the Allegheny Cemetery.
Groundspeople: Not goth-friendly

Cavalry Cemetery

Greenfield
Hrs: 9AM - 7:30PM


Medium cemetery with excellent angel statuary.
Groundspeople: Will gawk, but not bother those not vandalizing

Homewood Cemetery

PGH Homewood
Hrs: 8AM - 9PM


Large cemetery with a lot of crypts and interesting graves. Walking tours are held twice a week. Plan a few hours to visit this cemetery.
Groundspeople: No problems
