Cigarettes

PA recently (in the last 8mo) passed a law requiring merchants to card any person purchasing cigarettes if they look like they are under 27, so expect to be carded.

  This is a 24hr. store that carries chips, snacks, drinks, and regular drug store type stuff. Cigarette prices are average for PGH (~$3 a pack for name brands).

Beer and Liquor

Beer and liquor are NOT sold in grocery or convenience stores!

Beer is sold by the CASE by state approved distributors, or you can buy 6-packs from bars that provide them. (You must have ID, and there is a maximum of TWO 6-packs per person per visit!)

Liquor (bottles) is sold by state run liquor stores ONLY.

Bars close at 2AM (last call is 1:45AM).

PA law requires a physical barrier between over 21 bar areas and under 21 areas, in case you wonder why clubs here are setup the way they are.
