Below are the events that we would like to offer to Convergence 7.

Thursday
All Day:
Arrival and registration.
Early arrivals can get their tickets, tee shirts, "gothy ghoulie goodie bag,"
then relax in the hospitality of our fine city. Now's a good time to
leave a cryptic message on the bulletin board for your fiendish friends
to find.
LIPSERVICE -
Glam Trash Rock Punk Noise Darkwave Electro Techno Industrial Synthpop
The Roman Room has a somewhat small selection of beers, but they range
from Yuengling (a
local traditional brew) to Harp and
Guinness as well as
mixed drinks and coctails. For the less alcohol inclined, Cafe Au Lait
has a full espresso bar and desserts.
Because it is on the South Side, shuttle and/or bus service will be
available (travel time to/from the hotel is 10-15min). All Ages. No Cover. 9PM - 2AM. the Roman Room (part of
Cafe Au Lait) on the South
Side.
Upstage 80s Night
Originally held at the Upstage, 80s night was moved to the Oakland Beehive when the Upstage
closed. This night features the best and the worst of the 80s.
The Pollinator features a wide assortment of beers and mixed drinks
from a first floor and second floor bar, and
cocktails (at the second floor bar only).
The Beehive/Pollinator is only about 4 blocks from our choice hotel,
the Wyndham Garden. 21+. 9PM - 2AM.
Piper's Pub
Single malt whiskey, Belgium beer, and a Scotish pub atmosphere make
Piper's Pub an attractive spot for relaxing conversation and a light
bite. REVIEW: Piper's Pub -
An Adventure in Single Malt Whiskey and Special Beer
1828 E. Carson St., South Side (bus, car, possible arrangement of
shuttle) 21+. Will seat groups (up to 20) before 6pm.
Friday
All Day:
Arrival and registration.
The weekend begins gearing up as the great deluge of guests begin to arrive.
It's time to start playing a gothic version of "Where's Waldo?" only
without the red and white hat.
Afternoon/Evening:
Meet & Greet
- Hotel reception area
You know their nicks, you've read their posts, you may have even seen
their pix. Now we help put a face to the name while enjoying some
industrial strength grub. All Ages. Possible cash bar for 21+ w/ ID.
Gateway Clipper Cruise
Featuring live music (artist(s) TBA)
We will be transforming the Majestic, an authentic riverboat with
several floors, into the USS Nightmare. Spend the evening with 959
of your favorite people to a soundtrack fit for a beach slasher
movie. All ages. Tickets $15 USD each. Shuttle to/from the hotel will be provided.
Evening/Night:
Oakland Beehive
Featuring a presentation of classic horror movies and DJs.
Okay, so they aren't really all that horrifying. They are, however, an
amazing testament to the talent, skill, and imagination of creators in
the horror genre. Titles and DJs TBA. All Ages. Second floor bar (the Pollinator), 21+ w/ ID.
Saturday
Morning/Afternoon:
End of registration period
Last chance to catch your friends as they walk in the door from the
road. The registration area will still be available for posting
messages to help guests locate and rendezvous with their net.friends.
Day:
Merchant Area

Take home a few souvenirs from your visit to da 'Burgh or find that
perfect little vinyl corset you've been dreaming of. Vendors TBA.
Art show
- Hotel reception area (near or adjoining Merchant
Area)
Come experience the best of artistic expression in the Steel City.
Kennywood
Kennywood is one of the largest amusement parks in America,
featuring classic wooden coasters, modern coasters, rides, a kiddy
park, games, and stage shows. All Ages. Tickets $10 USD each. Shuttle to/from the hotel will be provided.
Evening/Night:
Ceremony
You are cordially invited to join us for Ceremony, Pittsburgh's
(and one of the country's) longest running G/I night
held at Club Laga
in Oakland. Laga has a state of the
art sound system that has accomodated a wide array of international
artists, including Gary Numan, Alien Sex Fiend, and The Misfits.
Special guests TBA.
Laga is just 3 blocks away from the
Wyndham Garden hotel.
All Ages. 10:30PM - 2:30AM. 21+ with valid photo ID to drink.

Morning:

Last chance to indulge in the materialistic joys of shopping. Better
hurry if you want to snag that last set of bindis!
Art show

Bond with friends new and old while drenching your senses.

Auction
Proceeds to go to trust fund for Convergence 8
What could be better than taking home a unique piece of C7? By
helping defray costs for Convergence 8, of course.
All Ages. Bring your check book.
Afternoon/Evening:
The Hunger banquet
- Valhalla Restaurant and Brewery
Featuring DJs and Gothic karaoke
You know you've always wanted to share your own special version of
the Monster Mash with your friends. Now you can do so while indulging
in a dinner fit for a Romanian Count (or a Mad Scientist) while
enjoying the viking inspired atmosphere of Valhalla. All Ages. Tickets $12 USD each. Bring your hunger and
leave the earplugs at home.
Metropol
Industrial. That about sums it up. Metropol is so chock full of
industrial atmosphere that it almost oozes from the exposed metal
beams. Add to this a plush V.I.P. lounge and a great sound system, and
you've got an incredible canvas on which to build an army of atomic
killer robots. All Ages1, 21+ w/ ID to drink, located in the
Strip Dist., shuttle service to/from the hotel will be provided OR
Area 51
UFOs. Aliens. Secret military plots. What do these have to do with
clubbing? Area 51, the club that Tom Savini built. Well, so maybe he
didn't build it, but he did do the interior decorating. All Ages1, 21+ w/ ID to drink, located in the
Strip Dist., shuttle service to/from hotel will be provided
