Hotel

Las Vegas has a hotel to fulfill every fantasy and fit every pocketbook. From the shabby-chic of the classics like the Stardust to the opulence of the new mega-resorts like the Hard Rock Hotel and the Luxor, Las Vegas has it all. When looking at official hotels, our committee wants to provide a space that is all-inclusive for attendees. The official hotel will be the site of the majority of the daytime events, as well as the Evening bands, DJs, and ball. We're also keeping a keen eye on costs without subjecting Convergence goers to a seedier side of Vegas than they'd intended to visit. Therefore, the space needs to be large, clean and affordable.

We have not made an official commitment to one hotel at this point. However we are leaning towards the Riviera. The Riviera has a casino with free gaming lessons, a 24 hour coffee shop and buffet, a pool and wedding chapel. Just in case. Guests at the Riviera can bypass the lines at the airport with Certified Airline Passenger Services (CAPS). They'll check your bags to their final destination, issue your boarding pass and confirm your seat assignment (subject to individual airline policies), making those last minute get-a-ways easier than ever.

One of the few hotels in Vegas to never have a "theme", the Riviera is spacious enough to meet all our needs and still provide guests with a taste of Sin City in comfort, without breaking their budget. The four towers of the Riviera offer a variety of different room types - from standard double rooms to Jacuzzi suites. We anticipate the rate for a standard double room to be from $99 to $119 dollars. Quads are available for an additional $20 per person per night.

Many other hotels are available for those who choose not to stay in the official hotel. A short listing follows. The C8 committee neither recommends nor endorses any of this information. All pricing is approximate. Information is provided solely as a guide for those who are seeking lodging elsewhere in Vegas.

$19

Yes, you read right. For $19 you can stay in downtown Vegas, though we don't recommend it. If you enjoy gambling, there's even a casino!
