Welcome to sunny Florida. Quite possibly the last place you'd ever see yourself for a gathering of velvet wearing goths. You might be surprised to learn that Tampa has a thriving goth scene, centered around the historic district of Ybor City, which is where we've chosen to hold Convergence 14 should the voters trust us with their party. We love our city and think that you'll find it has a lot to offer beyond beaches and retirees.

Ybor City is centrally located in Tampa, Florida. The main area of Ybor itself is completely walkable and is connected to Channelside and downtown Tampa by a street trolley. Within Ybor you will find a large selection of restaurants and entertainment.

Tampa itself boasts 2 airports: Tampa International and St. Petersburg/Clearwater. Transportation by shuttle or taxi is available from either airport. For those wishing to extend their stay, Tampa is 90 miles from Orlando and all its attractions.

Excursions
Tampa has a huge amount of local things to do and see. We have Lowry Park Zoo, Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, and the Dali Museum all within a short drive from Ybor City. This is one of those areas where we want to hear from you, the C* attendee.
